camp 2009
one camp, two parts!
This two-part workshop takes place over consecutive and extended weekends. Although attending both weekends offers the full experience, participants are additionally invited to sign up for just one weekend, should that better suit their needs.
First weekend - September 3 - September 6, 2009
This weekend you will build a super wide pinhole camera made to accommodate a 4x5 film holder. It offers unique and exciting photo opportunities using color and black & white film. You will develop film and experience a camera obscura through a pinhole.

Second weekend - September 10 - September 13, 2009
This weekend offers even more fabulous image making opportunities using color and black & white film, additionally introducing the paper negative. You will develop images and print in the cyanotype and van dyke processes. We will also watch a parade from a camera obscura using a lens, for something new.

Workshop Prices:
Both weekends:
Tuition : $500
Materials Fee : $250
(A deposit of $250 is required to hold your spot)
One weekend:
Workshop : $300
Materials Fee : $200
(A deposit of $200 is required to hold your spot)
Items you will need to provide : At least one 4x5 film holder, (Used ones will be available for purchase should you need them) gloves, apron, food and transportation.
If attending the first weekend only : please bring a box cutter, cutting mat and a metal edged ruler.
If attending the second weekend only : you will need to bring your own working pinhole camera that you have tested.
